Hello

Six petals, six communities

Our mark is a bloom. Each petal stands for people this work brings together, and each keeps its own colour. Choose a petal to see who it stands for.

Unity in Diversity, Strength in Community.

We are local Hong Kong and ethnic minority young people in one team, supported by Fun-Tastic, a registered charity in Hong Kong.

Together we show up for the wider community: at an eye screening for seniors, at the Legislative Council, in a conversation on AI and education.

Volunteering at a seniors’ eye screening in Sheung Shui

Sheung Shui

By invitation of the Lions Club, our volunteers supported free eye screening for seniors at the Eye Care and Traditional Chinese Medicine Wellness Carnival in Sheung Shui, and stayed throughout the event.

Caring for Seniors

A conversation on AI and the future of education

IAIE World Conference 2025, Hong Kong

At the 2025 World Conference of the International Alliance for Invitational Education, in Hong Kong, our Project Director, Michael Kalyan, interviewed Dr John Ivers of Brigham Young University-Idaho about education in the age of AI and quantum computing.

Empowering Youth

Trained first, then trusted

In September 2026 our Project Director led three trainings for Fun-Tastic’s free eye screening programme. New volunteers and secondary school students learned what a screening day asks of them, one station at a time.

What a volunteer does on a screening day

These are the four stations that volunteers rehearsed on 26 September 2026, at the Fun-Tastic training our Project Director led.

  1. Step 1

    Registration

Welcome each senior and help with the forms. Explain that the photographs are for screening only, and ask for consent.

  2. Step 2

    Photography

Check the details, clean the equipment, help the senior sit comfortably, and photograph both eyes.

  3. Step 3

    Explaining the report

Go through the result in plain words and give advice. If something is flagged, remind the senior to see an eye specialist soon.

  4. Step 4

    The report to keep

Help each senior download their screening report, and introduce the benefits of Fun-Tastic membership.

AI-assisted retinal screening is a risk screen, not a medical diagnosis. It does not replace an examination by an ophthalmologist or optometrist.
